December 2014 – Where the heck is Kumasi?

GhanaMapA new assignment came in.  In December Journalists in Ghana want a special training. It will take place in Kumasi, in the heart of the West-African State of Ghana. A hamlet right in the middle of nowhere? Not at all. Kumasi is the capital of the Ashanti Region, has more than 2 Million inhabitants and is a bit more than 250 km north of Accra.

This town was founded more than 330 years ago. How old is Australia, the country we call home? On behalf of Deutsche Welle Akademie one of our trainers will work with anchors and presenters of local radio stations. They want to improve their skills as radio hosts, and interviewers. A fascinating job for the trainer and hopefully a great experience for the trainees.
